I am moving and I wanted to know the etiquette on getting my deposit back?

The place this is why you need to clean the place this is why you need to sue in small claims.
The landlord will have to sue in small claims.

Most pet deposits are non refundable, check your lease. Talk to the landlord, most times it is after you move out and they can assess the condition of the property. Have the carpets professionally cleaned, and do as much to clean the house and you will get more of your deposit back. They like to charge you to clean the bathrooms, kitchen, etc.

The pet deposit to cover cleaning expenses if there was preexisting damage you have pictures of the pet deposit to be outlined in several states the tenant interest on the pet deposit to do this work it might reduce this deduction but would inform the tenant interest on the cleanup take lots.
